Useful details
Frequently asked questions
Can I send TY Records a demo?
TY Records is not currently accepting demo submissions. The site is maintained as an resource and journal, so it does not operate a release-submission programme.
Can I buy a release through TY Records?
No. TY Records does not keep physical releases in stock or process orders. Catalogue pages document recordings and provide listening context; availability changes over time and may be limited.
What if an older download code no longer works?
Some historic download services are no longer active. TY Records cannot restore expired codes, but the relevant release page may still help identify the recording and its catalogue context.
Can labels or artists arrange a trade?
TY Records does not arrange trades. The resource focuses on documenting releases, artists, typecasts and related discussions rather than handling exchanges.
Where should I begin if I am new to the resource?
Start with releases for individual records, visit artists to follow a maker's work, or use typecasts for a ready-made listening path.
Can I take part in a discussion?
Visit the forum to read the preserved threads. An account can be created through the existing sign-up page, and returning readers can use log in.
How can I find a particular musician or release?
Use the search field above for a name or title. You can also browse the artist index and the release catalogue at your own pace.
